Brian, Kurt and Lindsay take Liz to go and sit on a wall. After a while Bob goes to the house opposite and starts shouting abuse at the people in there. It turns out that it's his wife and her new boyfriend and he's been doing it for the last couple of weeks. Kurt and Brian are disappointed when the boyfriend throws a bucket of water over Bob as he did that on Monday with a bigger bucket! But Liz feels sorry for him and takes him back to school. He's moved again to his office after Brian said he would tell Clare if he didn't get out the gym.
It's the students bonfire night disco and Clare is looking for chaperones because only two people have volunteered - Kurt and Brian. Everyone is shocked at this as normally they don't do anything. They say it's the one night of the year where they like to give something back to the kids but really it's because they can confiscate the alcohol and cigarettes off the kids. Bob and Liz also volunteer and they dance and flirt with each other and then go and have sex in Clare's office. The next day Liz tells him she wants to do it again so they do a few more times. But Bob thinks Liz is his girlfriend and she is going to leave her husband for him. He buys her flowers and teddies but she gets annoyed and tells him not to. She gives him some clothes and he tells the others she gave them to him because she's his girlfriend. She finds out and says there's no way she'd leave her husband for someone like him and dumps him and he's gutted.
Kurt's annoyed when Brian starts selling and giving away the cigarettes they confiscated but Brian says they agreed to split everything 50/50 and then even smokes them in front of Kurt to wind him up even more.
