Episode 5

It's Lindsay's 30th birthday on friday. She tells the others it doesn't bother her but they keep winding her up and later she tells them that of course she's bothered and feels there's nothing to celebrate. She's flattered when one of her pupils gives her flowers and follows her around all the time and thinks he must have a crush on her but then he tells her he didn't think she got flowers much and it was just to get her to give him better marks.

It is also Matt's wife, Jessica's, 30th birthday on Friday. He throws a surprise party for her and Lindsay and Jessica get talking and Jessica tells her Lindsay has got a better life than her and later Lindsay says she doesn't mind being 30 as she's not tied down and could do anything she wanted unlike Jessica.

Penny gets annoyed with Kurt and Brian saying how great and gorgeous Jessica is and says she's probably ugly and boring really. Then she turns up at the party after Matt asks her not to. She tells Matt she wants to put the past behind them and be friends but then she takes him upstairs and sleeps with him. He seems to want to start the affair again but she tells him that was the last time and she was dumping him.

It's Mental Health Awareness Week at school and a Mental Health Fair and as usual none of the staff can be bothered to help. Clare tells Liz to assign staff to stalls as she likes and she puts Kurt on Growing Pains, Penny on Cry Babies and Bob on Red in the Face!

Kurt thinks he looks too young and women prefer older men so he starts wearing a cardigan and smoking a pipe but needless to say it doesn't work!
