Simon is a very laid back teacher which often results in him not getting any work in on time.
Simon initally lives with his dad, then moves in with Brian and Kurt. He then moves in with girlfriend Maggie, when he gets over the shock of going out with a police officer!
Although he is going out with Maggie, Simon secretly fancies Jenny and the two end up sleeping together and a guilty Simon breaks up with Maggie at the end of series 1.
Throughout series 2, Simon seems to get more fed up with being a teacher and decides to resign and go travelling in South America.
Simon returns briefly in series 3 as a supply teacher after admitting he chickened out of going and has been hanging round Bristol for the previous few months.
