Penny arrives at Summerdown as a NQT at the start of series 2. She seems to have a bit of a lazy streak and tries to get out of doing any work. However, when Simon leaves she is suddenly given half his classes and has to learn her stuff pretty quick.
She doesn't have many friends because of how she acts. Kurt and Brian like looking at her but even they wouldn't go out with her once they get to know her. She does however have a almost year long relationship with Matt which none of the others know about because he is married.
After Matt dumps her and she is rejected by Ewan, she ends up going on a date with a sixth former. She thought he worked in the school library at first but even when she finds out the truth she still continues the relationship.
Penny lives with Lindsay during series 3 and 4.
